Fluke earns 2009 Product of the Year Grand Award |

Fluke Corporation's Digital Multimeter received the 2009 product of the Year Grand award Monday, March 29 at the annual product of the Year dinner in Chicago. The dinner, part of the 2010 Manufacturing/Automation Summit, recognized more than 50 of the best new products in 17 categories. Winners were voted on by the readers of Plant Engineering magazine.
Fluke president Barbara Hulit accepted the award on behalf of Fluke and thanked the readers and the customers for helping to make the honor possible. |

Grand AwardFor 22 years, Plant Engineering has awarded the Grand Award to honor the one product that has earned that loyalty. It is the one product that receives the most votes from voters from 30 countries throughout the world. Here is the winner of the 2009 Plant Engineering Product of the Year Grand award:
From Fluke Corporation, the model 233 digital multimeter uses a 2.4 GHz ISM Band wireless transmitter to send measurements to a detached display. The device can be placed up to 33 feet from the point of measurement and will stick to metal surfaces due to the magnet on the back of the multimeter. |

Instrumentation - Gold AwardFrom Fluke Corporation, the Ti32 thermal imager is designed for troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of electrical installations, and electromechanical, process and HVAC/R equipment. Using IR-Fusion technology, users can marry high-precision thermal images with visual (visible light) images in full screen, picture-in-picture or blended views. Users can also record voice comments with every image taken. Optional telephoto and wide-angle lenses are also available.

Consulting-Specifying Engineer Announces 2009 Product of the Year Winners |

Consulting-Specifying Engineer (CSE) is proud to announce the winners of its 2009 Product of the Year competition.
Companies self-nominated their best products introduced or refined in 2008. Up to five finalists were selected in each of 10 categories by a panel of judges comprised of professional engineers who regularly design and specify HVAC, electrical, fire protection, and plumbing systems. Subscribers to CSE began voting in May to determine the ranking of the finalists as gold, silver, or bronze winners. CSE subscribers also voted one time for the Most Valuable Product (MVP) distinction among all finalists. The companies have been notified about their final place in the standings and the winning products will be profiled in the August issue of CSE.
"The Product of the Year competition illuminates the products design engineers and specifiers are valuing for MEP systems in nonresidential buildings. In this tough economy, construction and operating budgets are under stress while sustainability issues for energy, water, and materials are growing.
